Skip Te Time
"Skipper"
1988 bay blanket Appaloosa mare
15.1 hh
(Model Te x Skipa Starlette)
(sire & dam researchable on allbreedpedigree.com)
"Skipper" is fabulously put together Appaloosa mare with a flashy blanket pattern to boot. We purchased her originally as a Western-trained English prospect; she has since been retrained for eventing, though lightly. She could easily return to western as it is the sport she most enjoys, it seems. However, she is not likely to reach the top of her sport in western. Her pedigree is more of a halter pedigree, though.
Thanks to her lovely conformation and flashy coloring, Skipper is a great candidate for breeding colorful warmbloods if crossed with supremely talented Warmblood stallions. She has tremendous jumping power and even, energetic gaits which betray her working Western pedigree. Admittedly she would not be confused for a Warmblood based on movements and conformation, but crossed with a stallion of superior quality and movement, her offspring might.
Her sire, MODEL TE, is a bay blanket 1980 ApHC stallion who is an ApHC World Champion Halter horse, Reserve National Champion Halter horse, and a Bronze Medallion winner in the ApHC.
Her dam, SKIPA STARLETTE, is a chestnut patterned 1980 ApHC mare who has 7 mare wins and has produced several successful mares and stallions by famed Quarter Horse sires such as Impressive and Mr. Conclusion.
