"Dallas" is a stunning filly bred from our own eventing stallion, DAVIKE, and out of a dressage mare owned by Aquarius International. She has tremendous potential for dressage. At her young age she is somewhat fiery and hot compared with her other half-siblings by DAVIKE, with powerful hindquarters behind her, so she requires an experienced handler. We are currently working to calm her and help her focus her excess energy in productive ways. I'm sure she'll be gorgeous under saddle once she learns to focus her energy on the correct movements and impulsion rather than playful antics.

Dallas's sire, DAVIKE, is a SIM Hanoverian stallion owned by Ivia International Sporthorses. We have focused him on eventing, although he could easily be just as successful in dressage, his forte. He has wonderful collection and impulsion along with a level-headed temperament, which is why he's gained much attention as a sire in HF.

Dallas's dam, BARONESS, is a SIM Hanoverian mare currently owned by Alex of Aquarius International. She a wonderful dressage mount who is naturally light on her forehand and has excellent extensions. She is also a very successful broodmare, passing on her talents to the next generation. She has had several successful offspring while owned by Alex and during her short stay under Chay of Lluvia, Ltd.'s ownership


UPDATE 5/31/06: As a 2 YO, Dallas has had only minimal training this year (lunging and in-hand) as we don't start our horses under saddle until 3 1/2 years of age so as to allow them plenty of time to mature. However, Dallas is learning that when handled, she must behave and save her antics for the paddock with the other youngsters. She still would much prefer to play, but then, she is still young and full of boundless energy.

*Dallas IS currently registered in HORSES FOREVER, so her new owner will simply have to transfer ownership. She is only available to HF members at this time, though.
